North Alabama/Southern Middle Tennessee SKYWARN® Network

The North Alabama/Southern-Middle Tennessee SKYWARN® Net is composed of groups of volunteer radio amateurs that make their amateur radio services and capabilities available during severe weather and civil emergencies. We cover the NWS Huntsville County Warning Area.

Central Alabama SKYWARN®

Sponsored by the Montgomery Amateur Radio Club, Central Alabama SKYWARN® activates for severe weather in Autauga, Elmore, Lowndes, and Montgomery County. We connect to the NWS via K4NWS on DSTAR. We have 15 trained spotters that are able to go mobile when severe weather threatens. We also perform other public service such as communication for bicycle rides and similar community events. We have a weekly training net on the W4AP 146.84 repeater.
